Job Summary: Under the direction of an Ophthalmologist, the Ophthalmology Technician provides technical services to assigned ophthalmic patients and assists in the examination and treatment of eye disorders. Takes patient history, conducts visual acuity screenings, and performs various technical procedures, including refractometry, tonometry and lensometry. Prepares patients for exams and procedures. Operates, maintains, and sanitizes ophthalmic equipment and instruments.
